Fire, autumn and coffee in Barcelona

Producer Joseph Palau and myself were invited as the Danish guests to the Pitch Audiovisual held annually in Barcelona. With our project MEDIUM/RARE we were amidst TV producers, Catalan creators and many interested film folk. In a 15-minute long pitch, we got to propose MEDIUM/RARE to producers and directors from the Catalan TV3, Filmax, Diagonal TV and other production companies and TV stations.

A professionally organised event held in the Center of Contemporary Culture (CCCB), the Pitch Audiovisual was an exemplary platform to bring young student filmmakers - who they described as the producers that will sit at this table in the future - closer to the industry. And of course to give the industry a glimpse of the stories that we want to tell and talk about.

Escaping the Danish winter for a while, we could also heat up the discussion with our literally flamy film idea. Chances are there, that we might reach out to Spain for producing this short film before the summer. Stay tuned!

With us from Denmark were Petar Mitric from the University of Copenhagen and Martin Kofoed from the Danish Film Institute, who were part of a panel discussion on the Danish audiovisual model.
